Enrollment Information:

East Palo Alto Academy High School (EPAA) is a small neighborhood public charter school serving up to 360 students, predominantly from East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park in grades 9-12. As of July 1, 2014, East Palo Alto Academy High School is a dependent charter of the Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD), and continues its collaboration with Stanford University. East Palo Alto Academy is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Current capacity at EPAA is:

  * Total: 360 Students
  * 9th Grade: 100 students
  * 10th Grade: 90 students
  * 11th Grade: 85 students
  * 12th Grade: 85 students

All families who are residents of California are welcome to apply. It is not necessary to attend an Open House. All students who receive an enrollment offer are invited to join a campus visit and parents are encouraged to join.

How to Apply:

Due to the smaller school size of EPAA, space may not currently be available at your student’s grade level. Please contact the main office to discuss enrollment options and to inquire if EPAA is at capacity for your student’s grade level. Refer to the table below that describes the enrollment process for all students by grade, residence, and/or school of attendance.

Lottery:

When the number of applications exceeds EPAA’s capacity at a given grade level, a lottery is run shortly after enrollment window closes. For lottery purposes, students residing within SUHSD boundaries (with a completed address verification) will receive ten (10) lottery entries. All students residing outside of SUHSD boundaries will receive one (1) lottery entry. A waitlist is held for one year after the lottery, and families are contacted if a spot comes open. It is typical that final enrollment is concluded within the first two weeks of EPAA’s new school year.

Support

If you have questions, please contact EPAA’s main office. All families who are residents of California are welcome to apply. Although EPAA receives many applications, please be encouraged that not all families accept enrollment offers. Traditionally, EPAA has enrolled nearly all of those students interested in attending. Families on the waitlist continue to be valued prospective students.
